Ruth work is inspired by and drawn from her surroundings and has sustainability at its heart. She is passionate about the endangered craft of hazel basket making, and the preservation of those skills. She works with gathered materials and locally grown wood, and will be exhibiting a traditional heritage baskets alongside contemporary sculptural pieces from gathered finds.​
