Willow Swallow Workshop

Learn to weave a decorative Willow Swallow or two to take home to display indoors or outdoors. This small group workshop with Weave Only A Trace artist-maker, Ruth Denison, is suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience.

All materials will be provided. Please note willow weaving requires some manual dexterity.

This workshop is part of Weave Only A Trace: An exhibition of basketry, wood and natural fibres. All workshops are suitable for beginners, and are designed to introduce visitors to some of the materials and techniques used by our artists in the exhibition. Workshops will be taught by one of our exhibiting artist-makers, and you'll get to take home whatever you make during the workshop.
